If that place is like going to Lancaster PA, they probably won't be cheap there either. We use to visit Lancaster when we lived in PA and my wife saw a few she liked but $700+ was too much. At one time QVC use to have reproductions of Amish quilt patterns, not sure if they still do, they were pretty good quality and priced well to.

I can only imagine the labor that goes into each of those hand stitched quilts and the time it took to make each one. Because of all that, those are some pricey quilts!

We know a couple that collects vintage Amish quilts. They have a room in their house with a very high ceiling. They have their quilts in glass cases hung on the walls from floor to ceiling in that room. They have turned their quilts into works of art!

Handmade quilts are expensive.

There are some that say they have "handmade" when they are actually machine quilted.

Even in the fall when they have the big craft fair in Yoder and Hillsboro, you can expect to pay upwards for handmade quilts.

You didn't mention what you considered cheap (less expensive), but it is not uncommon to pay >$500 starting for smaller scrap quilts that are hand stitched.

You may watch craft shows, estate sales. Antique shops and boutiques are the places that will charge you your left one.
