Does anyone know a fix for this?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Sounds like the gears in the transmission are stripped.
That thing sounds like crap.
Once they started making transmissions with those lousy plastic gears, washers became trouble.
Someone else here mught have a clue.

Might be this.

I have to say, after watching that poor gentleman stuggling over that Midea washer....... that so-called appliance is nothing but a bunch of garbage, crap, plain and simple!
Plastic brackets?
Flimsy parts?

Oh... and anything, and I don't care what brand it is, that uses that pathetic "disk" for an agitator, is pure garbage.
Whoever dreamt up that design for an agitator doesn't know crap about providing a washload with an efficient turnover.
The first time I saw one of those goofy "plate" things was at my neighbor's house up the street.
I think it was either a maytag HE or a Hotpoint machine.
It had a glass lid window so I could see it in action.

The small load in it just wiggled a bit, the water didn't even cover all the load.
PATHETIC!
