Among other things...

I got 2. Correct.... not 1 -- TWO! Dysons from Robert!
I've been totally lusting over this DC-23 canister since this Dyson DC 23 Thread was started on Vacuumland! Now I have one! Yaaaaay!

The other one is a DC-25 Dyson Ball, which is getting traded up for a DC-28.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I didn't get anything remarkable. A DVD and a black newsboy hat.

Apparently, I'm 'too hard to shop for.'

To be honest, I'm not. You just have to be more creative and include more places than Wal-Mart for your holiday shopping.

A special Christmas to remember...

I got a couple of nice things for Christmas including a 40" flat screen to replace my vintage Sony 32" that's dying a long, slow death but the gift that really has special meaning to me was a piece of family history. I have many fond memories of spending time with my Grandfather including the family getting together for the Army/Navy game and touring the El Toro Marine Air Station on occasion since he was a Navy lifer. This Christmas, my Grandfather's flag was passed down to me.

An appliance (sort of)

A Brinkmann charcoal grill/smoker.

And yes, it was rolled outside before use. I assembled it in the house to stay warm.

Rolled it outside and BBQ'd some steaks for Christmas dinner. Spilled barbecue sauce all over it (on it's first run) so now it has a proper Christening.

Christmas............

This year, I got a pair of pajama pants with Stewie from Family Guy on them, a t-shirt that says Internet Is Down So I Thought I'd Come Outside Today, a super soft fleece blanket and a Twilight movie calendar. All from my mom. That was all I got as far as material possessions. But what I got that I am really happy about, was time with my family and friends, and a lot of great food. Money was so tight this year that hardly any of us could actually buy things. And when I let people know that I couldn't afford to get them anything, they pretty much all said the same thing, "Hey, don't worry about it, all that matters is that we're all here, who would want more?" And that, to me, is what Christmas should be all about.
