Considering what it cost new and the fantastic condition it's in PLUS the fact that it's a full horsepower, I'd say yes. Up to about $160.00.

Sorry! Not interested. it's a "batch feed" not "continuous feed"which means you can't run it without the cover being in place. I prefer the continuous feed because I can dump cuts of vegetables,fruits,and bones down and not have to stop all i'm doing once it's full to turn it on.the covers were also known for their breakage (new ones are at least $20 each)or being accidently tossed out.Yes I said bones.I grind beef,pork,chicken,fish and buffalo bones in mine successfully.The secret is leaving it on long enough to thoroughly grind the bones down and place about 2 cups of ice cubes down grinding them to sharpen the blades.I also dump some detergent down after every use to be sure the grease breaks down and doesn't clog the drain pipe running from cold to hot water down along with the detergent.

What brand do you have?

Sounds like a machine. Mine hates carrot peels I have to shove em slow. Or it clogs.

Just what I would need-the system in my place is setup for a batch feeder.Batchfeeders don't need a wall switch.As you can see in the picture of the unit-batchfeeders have oversized hoppers so they can shred a large amount of waste at a time-esp if its 1Hp-and a TRUE 1Hp.To give an idea- a 1Hp induction motor should draw about 10A from the 120V line.In grinding bones-actually bones will "sharpen" the cutters by cleaning them-the bone peices and ice peices wash away the scum from them.Disposers that have a "soft" diet have their stationary cutters covered in food scum and slime.
