The Circle K quick stop stores here serve Kona brew. I guess it's the real deal. I wouldn't know but it is good. Isn't it funny that about everything grown in Columbia has an active 'alkaloid' in it? Think about it.

Hmmmm.... those Columbians must be a jittery people then!

But as I recall Juan Valdez's whole philosophy was to take it slow. Ahhh, I get it. He was the grower and was never a user himself.

Eight O'Clock

I love Eight O'Clock coffees. Starbucks tastes charred to me. But if I'm on the road someplace (like the PA turnpike) where the generic brew is bad, Starbucks is OK. If you are near an Ikea store, their coffee is pretty good. I've got a bag of it going right now. By the way, A&P sold Eight O'Clock a few years back and it's an independent company now. Check the link below to find Eight O'Clock in a store near you.

It's Thursday, and I'm loving the Eight O'Clock "Red" so far!

(Loving it so much I'm ordering one pistachio cardamom and one lemon ricotta cheesecake from Balthazar's outlet, for the weekend, but, shhhh, don't tell anyone...)
:)

American Ace. This is the coffee we grew up with in my home. I believe it is only available in the Nashville Area. They used to have a slogan: "If you can't have a cup of American Ace, you might as well go back to bed." Campy I know but hey - I like it.

Living in Memphis now and the best coffee here is Ugly Mug coffee which is a local brew group.
