Pat what very cool pictures and video !
I saw that model Kenmore when visiting last year at the warehouse.
The best thing about that washer is that I grew up with that model next door to me.
The Russelle's house they had seven kids , when they got the new washer in the 70's
Mr. Russelle told one of his kids to get me and they did.
I came around the back yard you can see a window where the basement was and the machine was on.
Boy all you heard was the splashing in that tub !
That was the the first Ex. Large capacity Kenmore that I encounterd.
The SAME exact one since I hung out there practicly eveyday Mrs. Russell washed in that washer daily.
She would not let me look at it but I herad it with the other kids as they watched cartoons
my mind was on the washer.
Loved it when she used PP cycle it took much longer lol.
This machine also cavatated when washing.
The lint filter in it was gold bed of nails style.
So 20 yrs later in the 90's she was no longer washing he repaired it twice and then got a second hand
Vari - Flex model.
Then That lasted two yrs then when my grandmother past I gave him a DD model from my home.
He kept the 70's model washer in the back of the house And ask did I want it, I could not .
So Gordon if your getting this machine I hope to see it or at least get a some great shots of it.
I have open the lid on this washer for many yrs.
Thanks Pat for sharing
