Well the chilly fall weather has finally arrived, it was a brisk 34 degrees here this morning. The chill in the air has me craving some warm comforting food.

So what is everyone cooking to warm up on this cold weekend?

Mind if I stop by for a bite to eat?

Those certainly look fantastic. Afterwards, we can hit Penn Brewery. :)

For Me....

Bean and pasta soup. Lots of bowtie pasta in it, as well as tomatoes and Italian sausage. Totally fake (based on canned stuff) but satisfying. [this post was last edited: 10/5/2014-20:13]

too hot here to cook

All those comfort foods look great! But it's still in the 90's in Southern California and was too hot to cook today. So comforted myself with a nice cool crisp green salad with chopped up fresh broccoli and brussels sprouts.

Greg,

to make the Palmiers, take a sheet of puff pastry, roll out to a rectangle about 9"x 11" spread pesto evenly over top of puff pastry, sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese. then you take the short ends of the pastry and fold each one half way to the center of pastry, then fold the ends into the center of pastry, then fold on top of each other. refrigerate until dough is cold. slice into about 20-30 slices and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes
