Common Thread among Washer/Dishwasher/Dryer Lovers

I had a thought to consider. Why do we like old washers and dishwashers or even new ones and not cars or dolls, or vintage sewing machines or lawnmowers or motorcycles as much? I think it has to do with the love of the element of water, mixed with design saavy and a nostalgic tug to the past. Vintage cars are also my interest, my favorite is a 1963 Impala convertible. I am an Aquarius, born February 14th which is the Water Bearer,(Maytags and Frigidaires) but an air sign,(DRYERS AND CONVERITBLES) I wonder how many of us are born near or on Aquarius and if this is the common gravitation of water and air?
