You know that lint and grit may get thru the tinu holes rimmng the automatics, but they stand no chance against GRAVITY or the powerful Kenmore pump. Anything nasty get sucked rigny under the agi, and out. Lint, sand, gravel, Alien nail-clippings: nothing stands a chance

The end of the Wring cycle

It took all of about 30 seconds. Of course you can wring at slow speed, nice for sweaters or blankets. And you can wring one item at a time and take your sweet old time as i probably will when I become elderly, or just naturally slow down. You have total control. Love to challenge Geoff or Gary to a Wringing Race!

I have never seen a water inlet on a Kenmore Visamatic; was that only on special models? Did you add that water difuser yourself?

OK Mister ... what a load going through the wringer!! I would surely lose the challenge; I must be "elderly", huh? Hmmm ... I can make a nice "chain" of clothing, though. My Maytag wringers are mighty fast but I don't stuff them full, either.

Aren't you worried about breaking the wringer head and not finding any parts? Are you still able to get parts for those machines? The Maytag parts are starting to become scarce.

Rich got it; you probably did too, Geoff, but you're so pollite and wonderful that you didn't want to spoil the fun. That's the filter port, so I thought: why not a fill port?

I do not usually wring with such ferocity, merely showing the Lady's power.

And, yes, that is a kitchen sink spray faucet adapter from "the olden days." Sure works and looks just fine, eh Mister?

If any heads break, you'll be the first person I call.

Indeed, the Maytag wringer is faster, by 2.5 seconds for a king size bath towel. I clocked the M@ 8.5 seconds, and the Kenmore @ 11. I usually wring 3 towels at a time; it takes them very smoothly and with great ease.

Yes Rich, I have a Norge semi-automatic, an ancient war horse, with an open chrome wringer, though not quite as dramatic as the Visimatic.
