Love the pictures! Wringing race is it? Well, after I get to know my new digital camera better, I can do that only I will use the 1955 ABC wringer and see what you think about that? It has smaller rollers than the Maytag or Visa matic but does a good job too. Have fun. Gary
Very exciting! I totally peed! If I could ever find an Easy Spin Dry Conventional (which has always been my fave) I think I'd end up using it more than my Hettie! I love getting involved with my laundry.
Did those two exposed buttons make it through OK? I thought that they had to be folded inside the garment before it went through the wringer, no?
Loved the presentation, but those of us who have done laundry in a wringer washer know that it is a lot of work, even if you are not rinsing in set tubs and hanging one load of laundry out to dry while washing another.

Very fun washday pics, wringers are very interactive - you can certainly make sure the clothes are clean before they come out of the dryer!

So glad you noticed the bling, Steve; sometimes the things the camera catches are truly astonishing.
Sooooooo, Brother Robert, If you didn't want skin, theeeennnn........why weren't you wearing your nun's habit instead of the "muskle" shirt ? : - D The spray made the day!

Have no fear, Scott I was just letting the lady play to the camera. Are you wringing or sitting? I see you fill to the top like Geoff does, and you have the Maytag Cadillac.
Gar, I'd love to see you collection, and maybe we could have a prettiest rope contest with Geoff--after the race!

A lot of work AND a lot of fun, Tom. Once you get used to them, you enter an effortless flow. Like baking, wringing is very forgiving, and the rubber yields to the buttons rather than snapping them into your eyeballs.
Greg, waiting for the day when you get into Conventionals they way Combos are on the horizon for me.

It's a scrubber cap, or collar reamer, and you could hold your heavily soiled item up to the head and give it good rubbing. Originally, the Visi was missing her cap, and the uber-generous John, Coldspot66, had the kindness to send me a NIB Roto-swirl Scrubber Cap. I think of him every time I use the Lady.
