Miele 1986 from 2002
which I have. I have it programmed for suds cooling in cottons program. It will do this at temperatures above 120F by running a good amount of cold water into the tub near the end of the wash.
For perm press it has always done some form of cooling after the wash, but the form varies by temperature.
If you use a temp of 105F it will run cold water into the drum before draining the wash water and performing a short burst spin. After the first rinse it will do a short spin but at low speed.
If you use a temperature of 120F or over. It will first pump some hot water out, then fill with cold water and continue the cold down process.
If you use cold water I don't think there is cooling done at all.
My machine was delivered with suds cooling and water+ deactivated plus for the USA customers the manual was stripped of programming instructions as well. I found the programming instructions in the AU Miele manual.
I have tried to read the current washer and DW instruction manuals for the UK and AU but every time I try to access the manuals it says there are not available. I wonder if Miele is now blocking the USA from them? I wouldn't be surprised.
