The ingredients of the bottle of the Costco Kirkland Signature Laundry Detergent that I am now using has the ingredients clearly visible but I can't seem to find anything that immediately sticks out to me as a corrosion inhibitor. Do I need to purchase sodium silicate and use it alongside the detergent. I switched from All to the Costco Kirkland Signature liquid detergent because it's better value for the money. I also occasionally use original Tide Powder and I see it does have sodium silicate in it but the Tide Liquid doesn't have it. Is there a different corrosion inhibitor used in liquid detergents or are liquid detergents more neutral when diluted instead of very basic? I'm trying to prevent chemical corrosion of the aluminum spider arms in my Frigidaire Gallery FL washer and my Neptunes. I do know the other facts and I don't allow buildup to stay in the machine. I make sure to not use too much or not enough detergent, I use very little softener. I leave the door wide open when the machine isn't being used, I wash in warm or hot water ONLY, I don't run the delicate cycle unless I have to, I use the high spin speed and I run an affresh tablet through the machine once every 2 months of use.
