Let's be honest. Most average Americans would not have more than one type of detergent at a time. Unless, of course, their bottle of Sun is running low, and they buy a bottle of Xtra to use next. (Chosen because it's the cheapest detergent on sale this week.) Of course, this really doesn't count--they won't open the Xtra until after the last drop of Sun drips out.
I have to admit I've been somewhat like that, although I think it's possible that I differ in that when I get the new detergent I immediately use it, unable to restrain the "new detergent to try!" excitement.
[Yes, Lord Kenmore is easily excited. He worries sometimes that the new detergent excitement will be too much, and he'll wet his pants. But not to worry: should that happen, he can try the new detergent out on his pants!]
For the most part, a special color detergent isn't important for me, given my circumstances. The one somewhat special detergent I have is unscented, and that I have because when I dry outside, I want the outdoor scent to be the only scent.
