Than you for the links.

I ordered a set of them so we'll see how they work out. The description said that the wire cookie paddles shouldn't be used on heavy cookie dough which I didn't know.

Thank you for the referral, I had no idea these were available!! I love this place!!

My sister has a Cusinart mixer-hers is white-she hasn't said wether she likes or dislikes it-didn't ask.Its a nice looking machine, though.Saw these at the old Linens& Things stores-when they closed the shop in Greenville-the Cusinart mixers sold fast at their Going out of Business sale.Kinda wanted one for my mixer collection.Have a Viking-and like it better than the KA machines. The Viking can be considered a "Roto-Tiller in a Bowel" in compared to the KA-the Viking has a 10A motor.I also have its blender attachment-does work well.

Gary. I think Sears Cda used to sell that model as the Sears or Kenmore Elite but oddly they didn't offer all the attachments like the blender jar separately. Like they wanted you to buy the separate complete blender unit, even though the jar fit the mixer. I thought that was odd.

Thank you again for the tip on the BOSCH paddles. I got them in the mail yesterday and I plan to try them out this weekend. I really had no idea these were available in time to save what they called the Cookie whisks. I can still remember how shocked I was at how powerful that machine is and what it did to the beaters.

The enclosure with these paddles even says not to attempt to mix certain kinds of hard foods because the power of the mixer will break the paddles before the mixer stops working. Amazing.

The verdict?

So, I tried out the new cookie paddles and I have to say I am impressed. They went through this dough like it was butter. Some of the reviews said they didn't whip butter and sugar very well but I had no issue.

As you can see it's a really big recipe (4 cups flour, 5 cups oatmeal flour, and ton of chocolate chips and walnuts, etc.) and this thing never even flinched.

I took a few pictures as I went along so you could see how well it mixed and you can see how it filled that big bowl. I make these cookies into balls and freeze them so when Joe wants a few he just a few he can bake them in the toaster oven and then gets them fresh all the time. I know, you can buy them in the store like that but I'm old school Italian. It's against my every fiber not to make things from scratch. Besides there is so little clean up when you do store bought. Where is the fun in that?

I got a snap of her back in the drawer which is one thing I love about this mixer and of course the payoff at the end (besides the cookies) is all those dirty dishes!!

Good deal. all this time and I've never tried freezing the dough like that. It's been awhile since I made any cookies because the other half doesn't eat them and I tend to eat them all but I'm gonna give it a go soon. Thing too is how fast and simple making them is if you have all the ingredients at the ready.. it's like 5 minutes prep and 10 minutes bake. Not even much longer than opening up a Pillsbury container and much better results.
