Custom Painted Kelvinator Fridge on Ebay

I don't normally like it when people custom paint designs on old fridges, but this expensive one is pretty neat:

It reminds me of a TOL 1930s radio such as the Crosley WLW or the Zenith Stratosphere.

Wow.  That's one repaint I can truly respect.  I think that's the same model we had as a basement fridge for a while when I was a kid.

 

They'll never get what they're asking, even with the huge amount of time and effort it took to achieve that classic look.  They get points for recognizing the potential in the design of that fridge.  I get a juke box feel from it as well as that of an old console radio.

 

There's an art deco scene somewhere just waiting for that fridge to be incorporated into it.

Definitely an interesting looking fridge. Can only imagine the time and input it took to achieve that look. Does kind of remind me of a jukebox with a bit of deco flair. Would be interesting to see where this fridge was put to use during it's heyday for this to have such a custom detail done to it.
