Thanks Glenn and Dan. I had a sneaking suspicion it was from 1980, but was close enough since it was made in early 1979.
The DE806 franken dryer was made in August of 1974, though it’s a mishmash of various Maytag HOH’s. Back in 2020, swapped over the original DE306 chassis into the DG606 cabinet, then swapped over the DG606 chassis to the white DE306 cabinet. Once I arranged a time to pick up the Maytag A806 from waterwitch in 2022, decided to start and clean up and paint the DE306 cabinet. Then went to the appliance junkyard in Arizona later that year, which it where I got the older Maytag HOH motors and other parts, even snagged a drum off of one of the HOH’s in the junkyard which had the larger perforations on the front of the drum to allow for more airflow. Then arranged to get a 808 console from a member in a group on Facebook, the rest is history as they say.
Definitely had to go through some hoops, but honestly can’t complain since the patience and persistence has finally paid off.
