Mike, that is H/A in a dish - my stars, all the cheese, bacon real cream..... really the "fat of the land" so to speak but, it's the only way to do it - anything less is boring as rp said about Paula's recipe.

I find most of Paula Deen's recipes to be rather ordinary. Not because they aren't fancy, just because they're....blah.

I made the Neely's mac and cheese with crushed potato chips on top, and it was also merely OK.

This one looks really good. But with 7-1/2 cups of cheese and 1-1/2 cups of heavy cream, we'd all better make sure we take our statin pills!
