Hey Fellas,

As some of you know, I've been trying to get my '51 Zenith up and operating before the digital transition on June 12, here in the states. I've not had any issues so far, however I realized I'm not 100% sure how to discharge caps. So, in lew of my funeral, I thought I'd ask. How do I discharge capacitors? I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right with the paper ones, but when I go into the canisters, I'm not sure.

I always just lick my fingers and touch the leads. I've found that if my skin isn't at least a little bit wet, that the first jolt isn't enough and they still bite the second or even third time.

I once took apart a camera flash, thinking that something that runs on 4 AA batteries couldn't shock too bad. That felt really good and still felt funny a day later.
