Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Sitting in a junk line up: -decently clean WP: larger than usual horizontal split capacitor wash pump and wet rotor drain pump. 2006. Might grab it for repair evaluation if these are decent.
That's probably a point voyager. I'm curious about the spray power. I had a 2007 Whirlpool Gold which left glasses cruddy in the corners and upper rack later in 2008.

The Point Voyagers were “less water use” than the PowerCleans they replaced.
They were a horizontal pump design that replicated a PowrClean module on its side. It did this with moderate success.
The PointVoyagers came out right when detergents were reformulated without phosphates and really suffered from that. After the detergent companies sorted things out within several years, the PointVoyagers were as good as any other dishwasher.
But that initial combo kinda dinged their reputation.

Disagree, lower rack performance is acceptable but upper rack performance is miserable. I'm still on the lookout to replace mine that's aggravating the hell out of me. Worst performing dishwasher I have owned in 40 years.

It's quiet though, if noise is an important factor.
