howdy folks.
Now i know we've had a few new arrivals of late who may/may not know the scoop on my Hoover Logic 1300 A3632. Right. well on the 22nd of may she had her 19th birthday, She's a year younger than me Lol!!

So about April/may time, Jon and myself were spectating a regular Cotton 40 wash,When it began acting strange...on the reverse tumble. On some occasions it would struggle to tumble, if at all...and other occasions it would throw the load into distribution with abit of a spin to it...very peculiar!

This happened randomly now and again while fun to watch was slightly concerning. I had to retire her from use when it started varying every tumble speed including the spin and began to smell of burning.

As time lapsed i had a couple of house moves and alot of shifts at work and i just left her to stand unused and just used my Servis Quartz 6030 as my everyday machine.

After few money prbs ilanded back home with my parents. So now when i come home from work, i have a little time to do what i wish.Today after 2loads in the Quartz i said to Jon that i would strike her up n see what the effect would be.

It worked PERFECTLY!!! Why?! So we ran aload through and results were great. But i need to address the issue. Does anybody have any suggestions.

I have ample knowledge but this ones stumped me. And aside from male pride, manufacturer callout charges disgust me. And i don't want some middle age **** (Insert your own word!) tellin me that i should replace it with the eqivilant nextra...Guess what!?! thats not happening!

I hope you guys like long posts! LOL.

So now you've read my little diatribe i've included a few pictures of the wash cycle. Unfortunately my camara died so theres no video. Just pics off my phone. Sorry there pants quality!

Could it possibly be a loose connection between the motor and the "control". Now that its had a chance to rest a bit its performed ok. Maybe if it is, the movement, heat and internal vibration after its been used a few times seems to make it "knock its duck off a bit!". As you know I'm no expert but I know from what you told me that machine is sound mechanically which makes me wonder if its something silly and minor like a loose connection or a tiny little blob of soldering that needs attention.

PS got a lovely 1987 logic brochure which i scanned onto my pc last night if you are interested, its a big file in all though , about 30mb...give us a shout if you want a butchers...

Hay sadose, do you think you could send the scans to my email?

My email is at [email protected]. It might be a good idea sending me in "small" portions. You know: page 1 5 mb. page 2 5 mb. etc in separate attchments.

Darren: It might be that a cable a loose or the control card needs some soldering. If its a cable loose you can easily fix that. Just remove the back and check the wires, especially those that goes to the control card/motor.

I have seen some of these machines with loose wires. This machine you have was also sold here in sweden but with another name and with a slightly another look. It had less buttons, another wiew of how long the programe has been going on. etc.

absolutely fantastic Darren its great and i think this just proves resurection can happen lol. The symptoms your logic has are what finished off my zanussi quick and clean nexus. Would fill with water but would just go into a jerky spin on each tumble. The brushes were replaced which got us another 6 weeks but it started it again. When i had a chat with the local independent engineer (who by the way prefers to fix machines and wont sell new ones full stop) said it would be either be a bust programmer or the whole motor had gone kaput. Either way the quote given was too expensive for my landlady to spend on a 9 year old machine so we got a new hotpoint out of her. I kept that zanussi in our garage behind her back thinking i would fix it but never got round to it. I scrapped it in the end last year. I would be wary though just in case you can salvage most of the motor if it is that. Good luck Nick
