Hi All!
I found a neat Waring chrome beehive blender at a junk shop, but the blade is frozen solid. It is removed with a hex nut from the bottom of the glass. Are these parts still made, and if so, where do you get them?

Bobby, no longer made as far as I know, you'll have to scrounge from another jar, it's not the wagon wheel is it.. or is there a small metal clip you unlock first, or just a hex nut...
BTW I would soak the thing with WD40 and use pliers to see if it loosens, then just keep working it with more WD40.

What does the drive system look like? I know older Waring Blenders used a metal drive similar to Oster's, and sometime late 60's they switched to the rubber/plastic drive similar to Hamilton Beach.

Thankfully those jars are all over the place, so some new(er) blades should not be too hard to find.

Jeff, I'm always on the lookout for jars and blade assemblies for my old Warings and it's been a long time since I've seen one with the Oster-style blade mechanism, which all of my Warings use. If you can loosen and remove the hex nut then the rest of the assembly should lift (or you might have to pry it) out of the bottom of the jar. You will likely have to come up with a new gasket for the bottom but at least you can get to the blade and see if you can free up whatever has it frozen. It might be a while before you find a jar with the type of assembly you need so attempting to get the blade working is likely your best course of action if you're anxious to use your Waring. They are great at crushing ice for smoothies and other blendor drinks.

Thanks for the quick responses, guys. It's the old style, from the fifties with the metal hex thing and nut. No plastic. I assume these are no longer available as replacement parts?

Wow Jeff: right on the money. That's the one. It will be good to have this nice old blender running.

WOW, great resource. I've always wanted the blendor jar with the handle, now I have a source. Only, I wish they had the bakelite things that mount on the four "prongs" that hold the jar in place. I don't see then on the web site, so I'll give then a call.

Hey guys!

While we are on the topic of blenders.....does anyone by chance have an extra handle to a Hamilton Beach stand mixer model G?? I have one the is completely broken.

both the spline-drive and wagon wheel style blades are available on eBay. see them all the time. some of the heavy duty Warings still use the wery same spline drive and jar.
