SQ FL Washers With Heaters

SQ sold FL washers for domestic use for over a decade with heaters and almost no one ever bought them, we sold about 3 of them over several years and our distributor said we were about the only one that ever ordered them.

While the idea is nice it just is not that necessary in the US, We can't even get most people to use the hot setting on their washers as it is, of are many customers with FL machines that have heaters not one in 10 say they EVER use these settings.

Most homes in the US have more economical water heating systems already so it is a waste of energy to use resistance heaters to heat water. Even most all electric homes are going to heat-pump water heating so there are very few places where it makes sense to cause all the environmental damage to use on board resistance water heaters in a washer.

John, I approach laundry like a European, I want a heater.  I want hot water that's high temperatures.  I don't use LCB, I use extra high temp.  I lived with a Fler that didn't have  heater and it was a huge disappointment.  I get cleaner results with the heater maintained warm, hot, and 153 degree temps.  I have hated top loaders since the shredmore.  AND my Duet doesn't have any "odor" to it!!!  And it does better than the shredmore ever did and my garments are lasting much longer.

Besides, most Americans are too stupid when it comes to doing laundry.  All they care about is cold water and a 20 minute cycle.  And I very seriously doubt I will be opting to choose a heat pump water heater or dryer because I don't want to be bothered with the extra maintenance.  But I love my heat pump climate controlled system.
