Quite literally happened as the title states.
Was driving on my usual route home from work and was passing through a suburb of Derby.
I have only recently changed my route to this one, as its more scenic than the ring road.
Anyways - I had recently noticed a small independent appliance and spare parts shop. I have been meaning to pop in, but am generally more desperate to get home and relax.
But Friday was different!
On approaching his shop, I noticed three machines parked outside and the machine I bought still had the sack truck wedged underneath it, so had only been recently delivered to the shop.
It was sat alongside a Candy from the early 2000s and a Zanussi dryer in white, which matched the Aquacycle washing machine that came with the house when i first moved to Derby - the ones with the orange on/off round button.
Anyways the third machine (the one i bought) instantly grabbed my attention, so i pulled in down the next side road and went to have a gander.
I popped in and engaged the bloke in conversation - real friendly chap - before popping the quesion as to what he would want money wise for the Servis outside.
His words were along the lines of 'those machines are for scrap and are just awaiting collection'. Pushed further and money was exchanged - scrap value.
So here is our new scrap washing machine.............a Servis 3305 Electronic 1000 Plus:
