early an mid 50s pump seal

has anyone been able to reseal one of these pumps? I have 2 of them both leak at the shaft one from the 54 ge dishwasher and the other from the 57 kelvy

there has to be a trick, im gonna tinker on one to see what I can come up with but any info would be awesome

the seal does come out and it must loosen up over time and from being dry for years

Gorman rupp-made that pump for decades,used in all kinds of equipment: ice makers,coolant flushers,ETC.-might be able to get a seal repair kit
