Early Vita Mix

Here's an early Vita Mix I just won on fleabay from about 1949 per the company website. It's called the Papa Barnard Vita Mix after the co. founder Mr. Barnard, who it seems was also the first to ever produce an informercial, in 1949. Anyways, it's in even better condition that I was expecting and looks like it was never even used, it's shiny as new though the camera picks up all the smudges, there's not a mark or hint of rust anywhere.

That's very cool to find - and pretty rare. I think Jon (jetcone) has one of these in his Vita-Mix collection.

My grandmother had this model that she bought new then! I remember countless milkshakes that issued forth. We also got quite a tingle when you touched the sides of the metal container too! lol I guess it didn't kill us though. Gary
