This weekend, I decided to fix the rattling fan on my Frigidaire WIC-57. The rattle has been present for a few weeks but I didn't have time to fix it earlier.
 
Thanks to members who already posted about it, I looked at their pics and figured it wouldn't be a too tough job.  It was even easier than I expected as the screw that holds the pump impeller went out easily and didn't need to be heated. 
 
I used some Locktite on it and reassembled everything without bad surprises. And now, it's noise-free!
 






 
 
No more rattling sound. Now, I'd need to find the correct agitator for it. That seems to be much harder!

Jon, I recently noticed that the back of the cover where the operating instructions are printed of your charcoal washer is gray and I think I have seen another white machine with this parted also painted grey (I think you have a white one too?). Mine is white. Can you tell me if it's because it's a Canadian machine or if it's because it has a blue tub (later model?).
