wow thank you for the trip down memory lane when i was a kid my mom had an inglis washer that she bought when she was pregnant with me with a matching dryer and the washer had this kind of lint filter and my grandmother 's push to start inglis liberator had this type off lint filter as well lol thats the actual set my mom had when i was a kid that she bought when she was pregnant with me

Very cool Mark to find a minty fresh one. I always thought it odd that you had to buy the gasket separately and of coerce these were only used on WP washers as the KMs had own designs. This was one of the ways that WP salesmen and Sears salesman could claim that each had the better product when in reality underneath they were exactly the same machine and quality.

Mother's First Whirlpool Washer
We had when I was quite young had the glass and chrome version of that *&^#@ brush lint filter. Thought cleaning it out was one of the most difficult and gross things one ever had to endure. Thankfully in those days one's nails weren't weekly manicured otherwise would have protested most strongly. It wouldn't have done me much good, but still..... *LOL*

Our first WP that my dad bought bought mom in 72 or 73 used the same filter.

Magic Mix Dispensing Filter
The new one arrived, and it does not have the gasket, as you warned me, oh well. This is only a spare, the old one is fine and has the see-through plexiglass center, I just thought I'd grab a spare from Ebay while available.
Why on earth they didn't package it with the gasket is just mean, and earns them more $$$. But, the machine works very well, my 1959 Whirlpool has become my daily driver.
