Does anyone know if the early round door Logics used the sam

I remeber my best friend as a kid had a white round door logic 800, but I specifically remember it having the same facia and door style as the machine above.

All the round door Logics I've seen here and on ebay look just like the later Ecologics though.

Am I going mad or could I be correct?

Oh F*** !!- The Hoover

Look where it is lol!!!!

I have no space !!!!!

:(

Seamus.

P.S its an Electricity Board model- it has a delay timer ;)

the rocker switches were all 95's like the coloumn switch machines were.

the prefix 95 came in 1982 on the new generation machines and was used as a prefix until 1993.

thanks rob for the reply, you know your models ok!.

Still got parts in the garage for these machines, got about 4 dials, seem to remember the push/ pull dials broke alot on the shafts.

and our 9560 must of been edging £600 back in 1987. IIRC £550 or so.

1300rpm, the first UK machine to beat 1200rpm.
Digital display and a host of options.

Yep,

Makes you wonder if the likes of modern Miele machines are over engineered and have unneccessary refinements really,

Hotpoint could of really tweaked their design and ironed out the creases to make something really fab to last without laying on the OTT materials.

For instance

* Crewe has many concrete buildings that have stood the test of time in all weathers since the 1950's, can a concrete block not be made for a washing machine like this to save the waste use of cast iron weights?
Older ones are prone to crumbling,

*OTT Chrome doors that never seem to wear out, I mean the lighter less wasteful chrome doors of the 70's are still going strong on the machines they are still attached to.

They just needed that more resilient motor and stronger bearings and they would of been onto a sure winner.
