I dont think..

The Hottie could be classed as Polar White any more :(

Do you get the impression its had a new door trim at some point lol!

Still a rare beast tho!

Seamus

Yes it took Hotpoint a good few years to find a white plastic that wouldn't yellow. Still, a very rare machine and the fascia panel may be still available as a spare part!

Talking of tidy machines Gary that 1224 you have on fleabay looks super!

Even my Aunty Dolls was not kept that well - your may be the best I have seen for years.

Would of considered it myself had I not splashed out yesterday on a Kirby.

How ironic the Kirby that freaked me out when I first saw a neighbours when I was a wee nipper.

See how well it fares when I pick it up tommorrow evening.

Talking of Dryers & Logic 1100s

Seamus
These are nice looking machines, the only problem i have with this sort of control panel is they are often scratched or corroded being made of pressed aluminium, hopefully this one will be in good condition.

Paul
Well i know i stripped the logic 1100 at work but here is one up for grabs :-)

Hi Gary.

Noticed that logic last night and, although methinks it has been fitted with an ecologic door, i am a bit tempted - mine and rob's hoover 3022 dryer came from keighley and its about an hours drive from my parents!
ROB - we have something to discuss!
Will let people know what we decide.

Those aluminium facia Philips' were soooo smart looking. The grandma of my best mate had the matching washing machine to that dryer above - it has the gold, rather than blue, dial inserts.
Also, a colleague of my mothers, when we lived near blackburn, had a blue insert matching set. her dryer had a porthold door though. After a bit of confirmation - i have always remembered her washer as being an '808', but have never seen one described anywhere by that moniker. Now, i even thought it was an 808, before i new of the existence of the 202,303,505,606 & 707! Just wonder whether anyone has a piccy of an 808 in their libraries?
It had a rectangular door release button and a similar pwder draw button.
a classic design of 1970's machine - just a shame that no one has one saved.

Does anyone know if the early round door Logics used the sam

I remeber my best friend as a kid had a white round door logic 800, but I specifically remember it having the same facia and door style as the machine above.

All the round door Logics I've seen here and on ebay look just like the later Ecologics though.

Am I going mad or could I be correct?

Matt

Oh F*** !!- The Hoover

Look where it is lol!!!!

I have no space !!!!!

:(

Seamus.

P.S its an Electricity Board model- it has a delay timer ;)

the rocker switches were all 95's like the coloumn switch machines were.

the prefix 95 came in 1982 on the new generation machines and was used as a prefix until 1993.

thanks rob for the reply, you know your models ok!.

Still got parts in the garage for these machines, got about 4 dials, seem to remember the push/ pull dials broke alot on the shafts.
