Hi Richard

The Bendix is back up with 1 day 21hrs to go.

Never encountered these machines in operation, but loved the look of them, especially those with a wee bit of chrome round the door.

A mate had a grey facia Philco version - never saw it working, but always admired it.

All these wonderful machines dangling in front of us - its just cruel teasing, isn't it.

Yeah it really is cruel! It looks so simular to mine too, I showed it to my mum and even she couldnt believe they are around and working!

I wonder if anyone on here knows anything else about these machines!? I always loved mine but was too young to really appreciate the engineering of it lol

My grandma had that bendix in white! It was bloody brilliant! It steamed through for about 17years without a problem!

Paul...tempting it is. I'm holding out for a grand old hotpoint. a 9545 would be nice. bit too late in the day to hold out for a specific model near me though...I have limited space as my machines are rather generously stored in my parents garage where i have access to use them too!

something a bit different!!!

I know it aint a washer, dryer or dishwasher, but i believe that this machine!?, in an ideal word, should be preserved.
If I was anywhere near it, i would snap it up without a moments hesitation.

Mid to late 1970's refrigeration style classic - a Hotpoint Iced Diamond Fridge Freezer (liberator purple)....
