It is amazing what shows up for sale on EBay. And when you consider how often this part breaks everyone with a unimatic should be bidding on this LOL.

No you could shoot a bullet through many of those Unimatic mechanism, parts and they wouldn't flinch. John was being facetious.

The clutch torque spring and upper water seal are the only vulnerable parts I've found in that mechanism. Sometimes the pump impeller screw gets loose over the years causing the fan to rattle, but that is a simple fix of tightening the screw.

I've had a couple oil-pump seals gone bad but after 50-60 years...

Perhaps the spin cage is shattered and the shards took out the oil pump seal? Dang. The auction ended!
