higher than a quartz?

really? My grans '83 quartz used to come half way up the door, on full cotton loads. I thought the vid you made was of it on half load. Ive never seen an ecologic in action. I was guessing they would rinse at perhaps 3 inches above the door seal. Early Zanussi jetsystem style. Was trying to calculate the 20l difference in my head. Thinking a normal logic would use about 90l? Nick.

My quartz fills just over where the glass becomes flat. And slighty higher each rinse thereafter. My logic uses 120litres. which makes for excellent rinsing. When i got my quartz i was expecting higher rinses. sayin that the drum is fairly deep and it does rinse real well. The levels fluptuate dependand on loadsize too.

wow

never knew a logic uses that much! They really do deceive. Maybe my grans quartz did that too. I just remember being half full of water and a growling motor. Good fun. I cant believe also an Eco machine could use so much water. Ignored them for years because i didnt think they used so much water. Learn something new everyday lol. Nick

best thing about the quartz that i love is the way it throws everything against the walls from the first tumble full of water. its very dramatic and fun to see. where as the logic builds up to that, which is equally as fun cuz it tumbles real fast with water splashin allover the place!

Can't beat my logics water levels. I always do full loads. and they come out nicely washed, rinsed and spun. Is it to much to ask the majority of modern machines of ample price to do that?

no its not. . . .

but the more i think about it the less i want a new machine anyway. Thinkin i need to get a house with plenty of storage and have loads of logics hotpoints and quartzs in stock. The hotpoints suspension has almost gone now and although it will be kept to be fixed when i know more i am looking out for a cheap re con. There is a great shop here in Crewe that often has logics re con with 12 months guarantee for around £120. Weighing up the cost of cinema tickets a £6 a pop even if i get 12 month out of a vintage machine at 3 loads a week well how much do i save! Lol. Too late for mental calculations. Hehe. Having said that there was a grey ecologic timeline machine in not so long ago. Wonder if its still there. Plenty of Zamussi Nexus machines in there too. Nick.

i do like zanussi nexus's i'd love to try one a friend of mine had an almond one i was quite keen on. Hotpoints about had it then?! Now your housemates no about ur hobby are you allowed to choose the replacement?!

D

well she dosnt realise how bad the Hotpoint is. she ignores it when its on usually and its sqeaking away but when it fills on super rinse the drum drops dramatically. also the drum is sitting on a diagonal slant as hopefull the pic shoes up. the stretched door seal on the right hand side of the said door seal.

but if choose the new machine looks like im paying for it.

put a pic of the right side of seal and left side so you can see the difference.

the load inside is a cat duvet that Smudge was sick on. its been through a 95*c lol.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR pics wont upload. somebody must be able to sort me out.

see my new thread if your tech minded.
