We just bought one, the gen3 model, and paid 227 dollars for a refurbished unit. We bought it to help heat the front of our house, (living room, dining room, kitchen), as the furnace is in the back (bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry room) and we like to keep the bedrooms very cool. We were using 3 small electric radiant heaters, which was ok, but they had to be shut off at night and they were a fire hazard. So we brought home the Eden Pure, and I am not too impressed so far. I have it turned up to max. and have another electric heater on, and the furnace is running, and the living room has gone from 59 degrees, up to 60, back down to 59, and is currently up to 62. It seems like it should do more for 230 dollars!
