But if you were getting a vintage iron to use or display you would want to pay the right price and get a good iron that functions

You would not pay 50 dollars for a POS

I would like to get a nice iron used not MIB cos I will not unnew a MIB unused product

Am going to iron with this used iron and display it in the vintage Maytag room

I use one of these GE irons and love it. We had them growing up - mother, grandmother, aunts - all had the same model) and they lasted for years. I only use purified or distilled water to keep the minerals out of the iron.

I found mine NOS/MIB when I was cleaning vacant apartments, left for the trash pile. At the time, I didn't even think about it being unused and preservation, etc. but I've had it over 12 years now so I think I've justified my "spoiling" it.
