Found an ad for an "Aeromatic" vacuum so the seller calls it.

After I got a picture I discovered its an Electrolux "AUTOMATIC" AF. The seller refuses to believe me even though I provide photographic proof from 1377731.com's website.

The seller is asking $30 for it, but wont let me know if it has any attachments. I want a model G, but I suspect this is practically the same thing. Has an external mounted cord winder though.

It's more than likely that the seller cannot read or see very well the cursive script that says Automatic on the front and they think it reads Aeromatic. As a knowledgable collector rather than pester them with questions which can be annoying to some people, make them look dumb and/or turn them off completely about dealing with you just go look at it and say nothing about your interest in vacuums or your knowledge about them. If you do they may think it's worth more than they are asking otherwise you wouldn't want it in the first place. If you like it, make an offer or buy it for the asking price, if you don't,, then thank them and leave.

Here I have several F's and several G's as a user, not a collector.

F's have an attached coil winder, G's have a less kludgey power hose. Both us3 the same motor and both automatically pop out the bag. The G is a tad less noisy; its shroud/body has more damping. There are many variants of each model

A decent hose new costs more than 30 dollars; thus a poor image and description can be anything.

Not the inside is a mess of rust, this actually worked but the bearings needed lubing. This unit I pulled the motor and placed another used one in.

That F in the pics above has a "halo" type cord deal ; not a retractor.

This F below is a user in my business; it was about 40 with freight on ebay; with a great non stock hose. Its is a variant that is a mix of new and older F's, The hose is not an electrolux.

Holy hose ends. Poor luxes! :(

As cool as the AF is, I think Im going to pass on it. I thought it was a hospital G at first, and thats what I really want. I know that O'dowd's vacuum shop has one and I just might go with that one instead.
