Elton John's Washer & Dryer!!!!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Wonder what documentation he has to prove John's ownership. Anyone can claim anything. How would you know? I would be skeptical.

Reminds me of...

a man who claimed to be selling Jayne Mansfield's dryer lint a couple of years ago. According to his story, he was a Sears repairman called out to fix Jayne's pink '65 Lady K washer. When no one was looking, he plucked the pink lint from the LK dryer. I wonder if anyone actually bought that lintball...

I guess dryer lint or even the actual appliances are not so bad, remember in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (AU) where the one guy had an Abba turd in a small jar?? ;-)

I wonder if Elton ever even used these machines or if the work was all done for him...I'd guess the latter is probably more likely. I did always like these Amana panels at the angle like that - thought they were more "vintage" looking than every other all white machine at the time.

A good friend of mine, who is a huge Elton fan, and I just discussed this machine. He highly doubts Elton ever really used the machine, altho' there is a good chance that the machine did actually wash things that Elton wore. I guess we'd have to check the lint filter for, ahem, hair...

Maybe he could scrape some DNA off the agitator and clone a bunch of little Elton Johnlets.

I'd rather have Jayne Mansfield's dryer lint.

Goodbye Yellow Tinged Loads!

I love Elton John, but I doubt he actually did his own laundry. And would he have bought Amana appliances? Top of the line Maytags of the period, sure; maybe a Lady K or a commercial unit. But I don't see Captain Fantastic handling his own brown dirt cowboy shirts! Maybe his own jeans--after all, Sasson's say so much!

Advil and a heating pad please......

Veg, Jon, and Mike:

I am holding you personally responsible for the side-splitting injuries that I received while reading your posts ;-)

.....Washer Man,
running out of Tide and headin' home.......

Can you stand one more?

...So excuse me forgetting,
but these things I do.

Well, you see, I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue.

Anyway, the thing is, what I really mean;
Yours are the cleanest clothes I've ever seen.

Sorry, couldn't resist ;-)

What if!

What if he had skid marks or something? Do you think he would have staff wash them! That thing was probably in his own personal laundry closet just for that purpose!!! The drawers would probably be worth more than the washer!

I remember some Behind the Music show on VH1 where Elton said that after going thru rehab, he realized he's never done the things that a "normal" person has done, and one of the things he said he had to learn was how to do laundry.

These machines were probably bought for him for his condo here in town. I guess whoever did the condo got him the computerized Amanas because they were high-end at that time. Not to mention they are programmable.

The real question is, what replaced them?

Hi all,

A couple of years back I saw a documentary on TV, with Elton John being interviewed at home - one of those "access all areas" kind of interviews. Did catch a very brief glimpse of his washer and dryer, and I'm 99% sure they were integrated Mieles with the cabinet doors. Definitely a Euro set.

Of course Elton most likely has several homes, possibly with a different set in each. Someting I'm sure most of us would approve of!

Cheers,

Kirk
