Perfect

Hans, you definately have the midas touch for obtaining unique and rare vintage finds! You consistently have the best luck in obtaining such interesting and quality items. Every weekend, I look forward to seeing what you've come up with. These are just great!

The only Aristo Craft I've personally seen belongs to my wife's girlfriend. It is nice and heavy, and best of all, it's from West Bend, WI. I know you love your vintage cookware as much as I love my vintage Rena Ware, and Revere Ware.

Yes.

West Bend made this but im not sure of exactly when, I do know mid 60s, because I know a man who sold both Aristo Craft and another West Bend brand I cant recall, but he told me in 66 and 67 he remembered a set of Aristo Craft cost 269.00, which was a chunk of change then!

My Aristo Craft score

This past winter at an estate sale here in town there was a fairly complete set of Aristo Craft with the egg poacher, and 2 double boiler inserts for $200. At the time I thought they were crazy for asking that price, and thinking it would never sell. Well, today at another sale was this same set of cookware that Jane had leftover from the winter sale. She finally knocked the price down to $50 for everything. So guess who bought it? Now, what do I do with all of the Revere & Rena Ware that we've inherited/acquired over the last 15yrs? Such a dilemma to have.

My pieces aren't as cherry as what Hans has, and I think I'm missing some saucepan covers too. I'll have to get in touch with Jane, and see if she has them somewhere. It is however just as heavy as our Rena Ware.

Sweet find Hans!

Looks like new! We have that other West Bend brand... Lustre Craft, heavy 3 ply stainless, Lifetime Warranty (still honored!), sold only door to door, crazy expensive in Spring of 1971 when DW got it... but it has proved a good investment, we still use it 42 years later!!

Guess I'll have to keep on the lookout for those to complete my set. Great, another excuse to go to more estate sales.

Currently my mom & I are working on cleaning out the house of an elderly woman mom has power of attorney for and when we at the house this past Monday (3/16) I finally decided to take a look upstairs to see what was all up there. I discovered a complete set of nearly new Aristo Craft cookware. It looks to be complete with all of the inserts etc. I've talked my mom into buying it from the estate for herself. She will be retiring her Revere Ware that she got as a wedding gift in 1967 which has seen alot of use what with raising 3 kids and all. The Ebay listing is an example the Revere Ware that mom is replacing with the Aristo Craft.

I hope she (or someone) will keep the Revere Ware (unless it's totally used up...). That stuff looks potentially impressive. Of course, that depends on the copper core mentioned on that eBay ad--how thick it is, and whether it goes up the sides of the pan.
