With nothing scheduled for today I decided to check out an estate sale that I saw advertised, mainly because there was a washer/dryer listed (but no photos). I did find a pair of Maytags from the early 1980's (single speed, large capacity washer, electric auto dry dryer). But they wanted $125 each and I thought that was too much. They weren't interested in lowering the price - said come back tomorrow and the price will be lowered if the pair is still here.
But I did find this Electrolux Lux5000. All original components were there, some were even in a box that could have been the original container. The original package of dust bags has never been opened. The date on the Owner's Manual is 2001. It even came with a full bag of dirt and a dirty after filter. All for $50. While I really have no need for yet another Electrolux, I felt like it was too good to pass up for the money, even if I end up giving the vacuum away as a gift.
