Estate Sale - Preserved 70's Kitchen

I attended an estate sale this morning - did not find anything that I couldn't live without - but found this perfectly-preserved kitchen from what appears to be the early/mid 1970's.  With push buttons on the range, it couldn't be any newer than 1975.  The refrigerator was the only item for sale, for $300.  Everything in the house was 25% off today.

Two pressure cookers! Someone there believed in them, but I'll bet they were disappointed in the stainless steel Presto. I fond that it had very uneven heat distribution, noticeable when browning a roast, and the base bulged out as pressure built, lifting it off the surface unit.

I'm thinking

1970, 71 or 72. Based on a couple of refrigerator and range styling clues:

*TFF 24 sxs does not have woodgrain accented handles/dispenser trim. Also, more or less square GE emblem. Later models had the General Electric badge in an elongated style with walnut woodgrain accents. Eye-level range appears to not have any woodgrain trim either.

Interestingly, the dishwasher (contractor grade) has the burl wood accent.

Very fun to see this well preserved kitchen where the refrigerator was thoughtfully placed in between cabinets to allow both doors to swing open fully and be a focal point. Certainly it was dramatic at the time! BTW this was the 'Brady Bunch' refrigerator!

That's a really nice kitchen! I like the oak cabinets too, though I'm not big on those big handles. It's nice the appliances have stayed together this long, I think I would have to keep them all together.

You are right Tom.

SS Prestos will burn food too I have one and the only thing I use it for is steaming vegetables with the rack in it.

I use the SS for cooking Brown Rice I put the raw rice in a SS bowl and place it on the rack with the liquid and spice etc
