After a few sort-of dry weeks, the vacuums were practically raining from the sky today! Nothing incredible, but some very nice finds.. in good condition, or at least they'll clean up nicely! And some other neat stuff, too..

Probably the best find out of all of them...

Hoover Junior, model 1348. It's a mess, but I think it'll be a gem after a good tear-down and rebuild!

Lux!

I was just thinking the other day... "I wonder when I'll find another model L again.." I had given one away before I moved to NC.

And the Frigidaire Ice Cube Ejector in the box... will fit perfectly in our early 60's Frigidaire freezer.. after a good cleaning! Yay!

Hoover and Eureka!

Not sure of the vintage of the Eureka.. the Hoover is from 1977 or thereabouts. Love the bag on that Eureka! Yowza!

Are You Sexually Frigid?

*GASP* - Dead faint! *LOL*

Who says such things weren't discussed in the day?

Still, gotta love that big hair!

Also gotta love those "hairdresser" names:

"Mr. Thierry of Helena Rubinstein"

"Kenneth of Lily Dasche"

Think I'll break out a bottle of "Reinforcer de Pantane" and do a roller set.

Estate Sales!

Great stuff Fred. To bad the Bendix book doesn't come with the washer! Is it possible to have it scanned and add it to the manual section?
Thanks
Peter

Tupperware shakers

Nice T-ware shakers, usually the lettering has worn off. There is a white stand on legs for these, maybe about 4" high with a knob handle in the middle.

F-Y-B-C!

Fabulous finds, guys! Love the hairstyle magazine with the "ice cream colors for summer", which one will you choose? Jon's Bendix modeling days might be over but the legend lives on!

The Tupper shakers are fab - they re-introduced those this year as a retro-throwback nod to some of their most popular designs from days gone by.

FRIGIDAIRE ICE EJECTOR TRAYS

Our 1965 Frigidaire Cyclamatic refrigerator came with one of those buckets and two ice trays. The ice tray had to be placed facing down on top of the bucket, then you raised the handle and down fell the ice cubes into the bucket! It was the best thing after a real automatic ice-maker. Every now and then the ice trays had to be sprayed with wax to keep releasing the ice cubes properly, otherwise the ice cubes would get stuck to the ice tray. The spray wax was sold by Frigidaire, of course.

Thanks, it brought back great memories!

Spray wax for ice-cube trays...

Is anything remotely similar to that spray still available? The trays work for now.. but I don't think that's gonna last indefinitely. Any recommendations on a spray that one could use?
