Sorry about repeating a thread, but I didn't capture your recommendations about ordering prescription eyeglasses on line. I would like to try it.

Thanks!

Well, I placed my order. I am too young (59), but a while back I was (mis)diagnosed with RA and the nasty meds included prednisone. I went to an eye doctor who remarked, when noticing a cataract smack dab in the middle of my left eye, have you been taking prednisone? Uh huh. Well, even though I was off the stuff, the cataract grew until this spring my left eye was out of commission. So, I had the lens slipped out and a new one put it. I got the standard lens as the fancy extra cost one seemed like it would not prevent me from some correction as I do so much close work.

Anyway, I decided to try ordering glasses "on line" for the fun of it. Since the new lens, I have been wearing glasses with the left lens removed. People don't seem to notice but I am very self conscious.

I'll try to remember to let you know how this works out.

I have just discovered zennioptical.com about 2 months ago, and I have been very pleased with them, I have ordered 3 pairs of glasses already and the most expensive was $45.95.
I just ordered a fourth pair today and paid $5 extra for tinting so I could have a pair of sunglasses. They ship quick too, 2 pairs arrived in less than 2 weeks, one pair took a month but that was because they were rimless and took longer to make.

I am sure you will be pleased with your purchase too.

Sam
