Fabulous Farberware!

Terry sent a "surprise" box this week and it arrived today. Lookie what was in it!!

I've never seen this Farberware before, I have the large electric skillet and love it so I'm sure I'll love this too! Thanks again, Terry!!

That is a very handy, desirable, collectible piece - congratulations! They are perfect for holiday entertaining where you want to keep something like soup hot, and they're great for long, slow simmering.

They will do everything a Crock-Pot will, and a whole lot more. I've got one on my "find" list, and hopefully one will turn up soon. My Farberware electric skillet turned up at Goodwill for next to nothing, which is amazing, because that store has an industrial-strength reputation for overpricing.

I have 1957 ads for Farberware showing these, so they were introduced earlier than the '60s. Still trying to find out how long they were made.

Greg that is so nice. What a nice gift Terry! I have not seen one of these in ages!
My Grandmother had one, and used it every weekend. Don't know what happened to it.
