once upon a time...

Jamestown was a major quality furniture making center, second only to Grand Rapids MI, this before before much of the industry moved South, then to China. Their last factory, Crawford Furniture, closed abut 5 years ago, sadly.

That's pretty neat!
Looking at some of the old pictures of downtown Jamestown on their page, it sort of reminds me of a Springfield or Holyoke in their heyday.
And, like them, it looks like Jamestown is losing or has lost a lot of the old buildings with their beautiful architecture.

And, as a cat daddy myself, I have to acknowledge the furry friend checking out your vintage table!
