Over the weekend I picked up an old Model 208 Farberware Percolator. I would guess that it is from the early thirties. Tonight I tried it out to make some coffee and found that the unit perked the coffee non stop. I was expecting it to perk for a period of time and then go into a "stay warm" mode like the more contemporary pots I have.
Can anyone tell me if this is normal for a pot of this vintage or is something wrong with this old chap? Perhaps you had to time the perk cycle and then unplug the unit?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill
