I'll probably get laughed off the board for this, but
my pick, although not HE per se, is FAB, either in Spring Magic or the other one (words fail me).
I find it to be more HE-like than some of the others in that it doesn't foam nearly as much as say, Tide HE. And it has a very strong but pleasant scent.

Lots of people have had very good luck with Fab as a low sudsing detergent perfect for frontloaders and other HE machines, both in powder and liquid form.
