uummm bethann ???

I am sorry for Robert's disappointment and anyone else having to deal with someone, I will just say "like that", including myself but I didn't need or care to post until now, Oh but bethann, sweetie, i am in tears with joy ..... LMAO ........... amen sista, (can you hear the applause?) he hit me up for some apps too, but I didn't waste my time with him. I can't condone such language;(cough/cough-haha) but I think you wrapped and summed it up perfectly.

How strange. I am so sorry to hear of how this ended. Who ever did this cannot be of sound mind. This whole thing is very unfortunate. So sorry Robert, may your good karma bring you an Apex washer before this years end.

Lurking as usual.....

I was just watching this all unfold.....BethAnn, I am literally grinning from ear to ear. You Go GURL !!!
Definitely glad I am on your side...... Sorry for your disappointment Robert, Glad that it was not a total surprise to you.
Kelly, I too want to be just like Robert when I grow up. :)

Bethann,easy girlfriend,don't blow a gasket.....8^)

We go to a automotive swapmeet just south of Madison WI. twice a year.Living in Northern Indiana,we gotta transverse Chicago to get there.Last time we went VIA Aurora,I94 to I294,to I88,past Aurora out to DeKalb, and then up I39,into Rockford Then back on I90/94.Much longer way to go,both mileage wise, and time wise. But it can be done.......

BIG HUG FOR ROBERT

I am a somewhat new poster here, so I will keep my words about this to myself and besides I could not say it any better than Bethann did anyway. I just want Robert know I am sorry this happened. I am a quilt maker and an online quilt group I belong to had something similar happen once. A member claimed to be very ill and we all made quilt blocks and sent them to another member in the UK who assembled the blocks into a top and quilted it. She then canceled her vacation plans for that year to fly to our east coast to personally deliver this hug quilt to the ill member. When she arrived she found things to be not at all as we were led to believe. This wonderful caring lady from the UK was so hurt and dissapointed she left the group and we are all left without our very dear friend. I can't stand the thought of that happening again to a caring group of people such as this group is. I am finished rambling now but remain very sad. Scott AKA Quiltnbear

bethann !!!!! (cetching my breath)

I have tears in my eyes, I just peed a little, I am still laughing so hard at your post ............. sorry, sorry, well NOT .......... you win the prize :), I sincerely do feel for Robert and anyone else "let down or disappointed" but oh the joy you have given me with that post ? PRICELESS !!!!

Very disappointing for you Robert

I have been watching this saga over the past couple of months and find it so unbelievable that people could play such mind games on a site like this.

I do feel very sorry for you Robert, I would feel the same way if i was promised one of my dream machines and nothing eventuated.

I can believe and have experienced guys playing games on gaydar, but it shouldn't happen on here.

Cheers
Leon

I just love the way this group can turn a disaster into a good time....just like the warm, loving family we've all become!!!

Please excuse this complete change in topic for a moment, but in Robert's last post on this thread (#152504) is anyone else seeing question marks encased in a black diamond shape where there should be an apostrophe (example: I'll)?

I've noticed this twice in the past couple of days.

Again, sorry for pulling this so far off topic, but I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this anomaly.

Hi Euguene, yes I'm seeing square where my quotes should be. The reason for that is in Vacuumland Off-Topic thread #50. I decided to try and specify a Unicode Character Set, but I see its causing problems, so I'm going to strip it out of the code as soon as I get a chance.

OK everybody

I really shouldn't have been sooo dramatic! I just can't help myself when it comes to things like this.
I can't stand to see someone's feeling get hurt, it just makes me go off the deep end!
so, sorry for the ... words that came out! ( not really ), but I will try and compose myself better next time! (hopefully)

Robert: I'm gonna find that Apex one of these days... Then it will be parked in your driveway!

Related

Well, this saga is quite related to the very essence of the club. Wouldn't it be a real life SOAP opera... I'm dying for the next episode!

Luigi & Terry, I initially upon reading teh desire to share two free Apexes as well as RCA combos, had the same thoughts of Chad Miller. Thus, I kept my mouth (fingers) shut. I hardly even followed the thread(s) reagrding this until Thurs. or Fri. hoping against hope this not to happen to us again. Again, Robert, I can't say enough of what I feel inside--the loss, emptiness cuz I know it's still a pain and disappointment. I even wondered if this guy was Chad raising his ugly head. Bob

Bethann, no need to apologize. Bethann, I wish I could twitch my nose and have you & Dean show up immediately if I ever needed someone in my corner defending when I run out of braces to beat someone up with (and I did with my college roommate lol)

My gawd I read all the posts here tonight and I have to say wowzers!! Austin your post was really good....your mom raised no fool thats for sure. And Miss Bethann gawd you said it sistah friend! Its true who needs a soap when this is unfolding.
I too lived near Chicago and thought what the hell was he doing in Aurora when i could have seen maybe Kenosha or The Dells. I lived in Schaumburg and I know my way around there pretty well so right away I smelled me a rat when I read that story.
But on the bright side I have a feeling that someday the machine will pop up and we will look back on this and say WTF was all that about!

well unimatic robert

You are our webmaster, this angered lots of folks, that anyone would pull, what appears to be, a cruel prank. Thank YOU for your patience, but please know when I travel, will certainly keep an eye out for this elusive Apex for you, Robert I wish we could find about 100 of em, keep the best and flea bay the rest. I enjoy this site and log in daily, most of us do. as always We appreciate YOU. Bethann had the guts to say what most of us were thinking, . my 2 cents. signed, Lookin for an Apex

Sorry, Robert ...

Robert, first I want to thank you for giving us so much of your time and knowledge. Thanks to you, I have met some really nice folks through the site ... these are people who genuinely care about others:
Bob Amerman has become like a family member to me ... such a great guy. Greg Nunn has always been a great resource when I had repair questions. Jimmy (filter-flo) helped me to get several of my "dream machines" , as did John L and Bob Salem. It saddens me to see that someone could be so mean-spirited as to do this to you; but, it is his loss because he has missed out on meeting a great bunch of people. Thanks, Robert, for all of your help and kindness over the past few years ... I am always here if I can ever help you (and to return the favors and help that you have shown me); don't hesitate to call on me. I am a firm believer that "what goes around, comes around" is a true statement ... he will get his punishment somewhere down the line. Take care, my friend! Todd

Thank-you so much Bethann for what you said. It really needed to be said as I am sure this is the way most of us here have felt. Terry

Karma catches up with people

As some point we'll read about this looney toon in the papers or see him on the news. I just hope it doesn't involve any physical violence to innocent people.

Robert, you'll find your machine. Your good deeds will not go unrewarded. You are too good a person.

Bethann, should you be out in Las Vegas, I'll buy you a drink! Very well said post.

Oh and for our little friend out there, a few parting words, "lo'fasz a seggedbe!" You'll need your Hungarian dictionary for that one. But the rough translation involves a horse, and a place where the sun doesn't shine.

Hi Robert. Again, I am so sorry for your disappointment. As for John, Bethann expressed it well. And John is the big looser because he is missing out on being part of such a great group of people. I pray that an Apex will come your way.

Ross

Aurora, IL

I live minutes away from Aurora and I read the newspapers front to back. There has been NO information in the police blotter regarding this. Has he said at what hotel or where he located in Aurora? There are some nasty parts near the downtown area but there are also no major hotels in that area either. The downtown area is not near the interstate either.

I think it's all a bunch of BS and it takes a pretty pathetic person to sink so low to enjoy other people's misery.

Thanks Heather for that information, out of curiosity I called the Aurora PD's Records department today to ask if a similar report had been filed (which SHOULD be public information), but the clerk said "Well, we don't just give random information out over the phone, it's not fair to the person who's filing the report" blah blah blah...even after I gave the specifics. Oh well; I'm glad that someone has revealed the fact that no such report was filed.

And so goes the tale of Johnny Apex-Seed, Part IV...for now at least! ;-)

If memory serves...

and Heather can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the majority of the "motels" just off I-88 are more like Hotels, with names like Shearaton, Marriot and Hilton...
Thieves would have lots of pickens there, more expensive stuff than a pickup with old appliances in the back...
OH WAIT... they wanted the laptop inside the cab!
