I had to deal with my horrible Whirlpool VMW WTW5000DW3 washer for 6 years, the bearing is bad and eventually the hub went out. I decided to get a new washer instead of fixing this one.
It had the impeller and didn’t wash great. It also had spray rinsing. The bearing went out and eventually the hub. Decided to just get rid of this washer.
I bought a used Whirlpool direct drive from 2009, even has the Maytag labeling on it. I love direct drives and the older dependable cares.
Model is MVWC500VW1, even has the stainless steel drum. It washes clothes so well and it spins. No error codes or off balance sensors.
The dryer still the 2019 Whirlpool WED5000DW2, actually never had issues with this. Nothing can go wrong with a Whirlpool dryer with a top lint filter and mechanical timer (even newer ones like mine).
