I have the Sunbeam version of that blender. The only difference in the blender in the link and mine is that mine is chrome all the way to the top instead of the black plastic ring the base sets in. It was my Grandmothers and I'm thinking 1969-1970. Scroll down to reply number 16 to see it.

Like Doug said, I put a little drop of turbine oil on the blade bearing to make it quite down.

Great blender find there Drew and proves "One good deed deserves Another",
fab electrical store, would be a shame to loose all the old detail in a re-fit dont you think?
