Greg it has turned out just beautiful!! I know how hard you have worked on this project. Your efforts show very well! I wish I could just sit in the rocker in the shade an have a cup of caaafee with you! <:

I love your choice of colours, the lattice work, and the brick sidewalk also. Great details, and those are important in an antique house restoration.

I hope you won't be insulted, but

Nobody walking by would guess that you'd done anyting to that house.

It looks as good as new, and I for one think that's a good thing. Congratulations on a job well done!

Porch!!

Hi Greg,
The Porch came out beautifully. Best Of Luck with it and enjoy many days and evenings utilizing it. I am sorry I didn't get to see you at the last washin.
Best Wishes,
Peter

I am glad to see that you went with a marine coating rather than a paint. I think it looks better and in the end will be lower maintenance.
There's a lot of back breaking labor in those finished photos! Well done! Now carry on.....

Greg,

That looks fantastic. I love the color, and the staining of the wainscoating on the inside. In the end the hard work is all worth it, i have been in my house 23 years and there are still projects that need to be done. It is now time to re-do the landscaping. I wish the landscaping blocks were popular in the mid 80's then I would not be redoing the retaining walls again.

Greg,
Nice looking brick sidewalk. I have a question--what is underneath the bricks? Are they set directly on the ground, or is there some gravel or loose stones? We used to have a brick sidewalk in front of our store, and every few years, we would be out there digging up individual bricks to level the sidewalk. I need to fix the sidewalk on the side of my house, and yours looks great. [I'm thinking of using yellow bricks.]

Lovely home~

Great job on the porch Greg! I also love the color you chose for the house. Fixing up the home is so gratifying isn't it?

Take care

Shane

Beautiful.

Your house reminds me a LOT of the house my maternal grandparents lived in, on Apple Avenue in Newport News, Virginia. Very similar styling and same period. Love it!! Can I come inside and see what kind of vacuum cleaner you have?! :)
