I was looking at DW detergents the other day in the grocery store. I noticed a box of Finish Quantumm tabs with a big yellow sign on the box indicating that if this Finish box does not clean your dishes better than anything else on the market, they'll refund your money. Pretty substantial claim, eh?

I red the fine print on the rear of the box and it said that the promotion is NOT valid for Finish bought between 4/4/11 and 6/15/11. Why? I suspect that around 06/15/11 the yellow guarantee on the box will disappear. Isn't this strange?

What do you think?

Why don't you ask them?

Worst thing they can do is not answer....here's their facebook page.

Who makes Finish? I deleted my Facebook account back in January as I didn't like all the spying on me that Facebook was doing. I think we are being tracked by too many people for too many different reasons. There is no reason for all the people who like me to know that I just bought a sectional map of my area.

Not Finished Yet

I laid in a Mormon stash of phosphated Cascade and in testing the system the plumber spaced on the fact the kitchen drain wasn't installed and soaked 8 boxes of original Cascade.  Since then I have used a new formulation Cascade powder and if the cycle is run on Sani to boost the temperature the results are just into the acceptable category.  I spent almost $10.00 to try a pack of 20 Finish Powerball tablets and in my machine and using the astoundingly hard well water I have Finish finishes in second place.  In Bellevue we've been using the Cascade pillow packs and haven't been able to discern any difference in performance with the new formulation using the city's relatively soft water.

It Is Nothing More Than A Promotion To Drum Up Sales

As such there is a finite start and end date. Otherwise you would have persons hauling out product purchased god only knows when, or continue purchasing product for months to come then claim a refund.

The makers of Finish have no way of knowing how well the product performed and thus are taking things on faith consumers won't send in the refund request to scam the system. However human nature being what it is........

Statistically it is pretty easy to come up with numbers on how many consumers will return rebate/refund offers, thus the makers of Finish know what they need to set aside in the kitty to pay for this promotion. In the meantime the main goal, to move product and increase brand awareness will likely bring in more than what goes out. Or so someone hopes otherwise they may be out of a job! *LOL*

And the "fine print" on the back of the box is so small I had a hard time reading it. I imagine that there will be TONS of people buying it and then when trying to claim a refund will find out that there was a "gotcha" with the promotion dates.
